WHU Disabled Supporter Assistants
The Club has between 25 -31 Disabled Supporters Assistants (DSA) on duty on matchdays at the London Stadium. Easily recognisable by their bright pink livery, they are there to assist our accessible supporters, wherever they can.
Along with the Supporter Liaison Officers (SLOs) Area Managers, the DSAs are all skilled in up-to-date disability awareness training and some have also trained in British Sign Language, something the Club initiated providing relevant training pre covid. Many of the DSAs come from a career background in schools or social health care within the accessibility, special needs and health sector and offer a wealth of experience and relevant qualifications.
The DSAs can provide support & directional assistance and listen to feedback & concern and can be found at the allocated accessible stadium turnstiles and then are relocated around the Stadium to continue to assist disabled supporters throughout the game.
The DSAs are NOT there to act as Stewards or undertake any of the tasks expected of this workforce. Should situations arise they will request a manager or relevant staff member to assist.
For assistance with any accessibility issue please contact the team via e-mail at accessibility@westhamunited.co.uk.

Meet The Team
To get to know the accessibility team a bit better, we have done a Q&A with some of the staff to get an insight on what they do at the club.
