Meetings

Representatives from the Disabled Supporters Board meet with various partners across the year and football season. Below we explain who we meet with and what we expect to achieve by keeping these lines of communication open.

The Club

The full DSB meets with the Accessibility Team and relevant Club Staff members 3 or 4 times a year. These have previously included the Director of Ticketing, the Club's Head of Operations and representatives of the Stadium owners, LS185 who have overall responsibility of the Health, Safety & Compliance. The members of the DSB will also meet at various times throughout the season to discuss specific issues or campaigns.

The DSB CoChairs and  the Club Disabled Access Officer,  meet or chat after as many home games as possible. This gives us the chance to give feedback or to raise any issues that have arisen whereon a resolution made in a more timely manner. Recent examples are the staffing of accessibility lanes and the issues with the "Gold Top" disabled parking area at Bridge 3.

Most recent Club/DSB meeting minutes from Sept 2023 to be published asap (pending with Club)

Independent Supporters Committee/Fan Advisory Board

The DSB also have a representative on the Independent Supporters Committee. The ISC was formed with the aim of achieving regular and meaningful engagement between the Club and 10 different supporters’ groups. The representatives are from Inclusive Irons, Pride of Irons, WHUST, WHUSC, Hammers United, Bondholders, Any Old Irons, Away Supporters, Claret Members & the DSB. We have until the beginning of this Season met on a monthly basis as a stand alone Committee, working on areas such as matchday experience, stewarding, catering and ticketing, meeting with the Club periodically, to discuss or resolve issues. However, the ISC will now hopefully evolve into the new Fan Advisory Board (FAB) the new requirement for all Clubs to have in place under the Premier Leagues Fan Engagement Standard. The Club & the ISC members will be meeting and working together with guidance from the Football Supporters Association through November & December 2023 to see through this transition.
